Angelina Anani places the University of Arizona’s mining classes among the nation’s first to incorporate virtual reality.

After completing a B.A. in justice and law from American University, Bryce Dempsey is pursuing a B.S. in pharmaceutical science. He uses his background in law to bridge knowledges in Medicine and practice advocacy.

A team led by a University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson scientist harnesses AI to trace the path from a healthy brain cell to one afflicted by Alzheimer’s disease.

Efforts are underway to wean the University of Arizona off fossil fuels and go carbon-neutral by 2040 – perhaps even sooner. As a first step toward that goal, the Office of Sustainability is leading the development of the University's first Sustainability and Climate Action Plan.

"You can't translate research into applied science without an investment in fundamental discovery," said UArizona President Robert C. Robbins. 

Jacob Blais is a senior studying Natural Resources, and will pursue a Ph.D. in Ecosystem Science. As an intern for a NASA undergraduate research lab, he studies soil respiration in the Sonoran Desert.

As a Next Generation Intern and Biological technician for Saguaro National Park, Maya Tainatongo, an undergraduate student at UArizona, promotes engagement and educates students about ecological processes in the park.
