Danielle Barefoot, Ph.D. Candidate

Associate, International Research Development and Fulbright Scholar Liaison

Danielle Barefoot is an associate for Research Development specializing in international research. She serves as the university's Fulbright Scholar Liaison. Danielle supports faculty in pursuit of domestic and foreign international funding, including the Department of State, NSF Dear Colleague Letters, Fogarty-NIH, Horizon Europe, and more. Danielle has extensive experience in supporting international research proposals, developing global partnerships, and managing internal funding programs. She has received numerous fellowships to support her undergraduate and graduate studies and research, including a Fulbright Scholarship to Chile to research Cold War university student activism. She is an active member of the Fulbright Alumni Association national organization and Arizona chapter. She is completing her Ph.D. in history with an emphasis on Latin America. She holds an M.A. in history from the University of Arizona and a B.A. in history and Spanish from Georgia Southern University.
